Built by Dentists and Dental Consultants to Plug the Front Desk Leaks Costing Practices Patients and Revenue.

SmileSuite is a dental answering service and virtual front office solution built by people who understand the dental front desk from the inside.

Dentists and dental consultants see the same problem again and again: missed calls, slow lead follow-up, unanswered inquiries, unscheduled treatment, and overwhelmed front desk teams quietly costing practices patients and production.

So we built a system designed to plug those leaks.

In the Founder's Words

We Recognized Four Front Desk Leaks Were Costing Practices Thousands. So We Built a System to Plug Them.

As a dentist, I realized the leaks in my own front desk were costing me patients and thousands of dollars every month.

I had a great team, but they couldn't do everything at once. New patient calls went unanswered, leads needed more follow-up, and patients with recommended treatment weren't always getting scheduled.

The problem wasn't my team. It was that our front desk needed more support than we could consistently provide.

The Pattern We Saw
A Leaky Front Desk
Missed Calls
Unanswered Inquiries
Inconsistent Follow-Up
Unscheduled Treatment

Small leaks that add up to lost patients and revenue.

So I brought together developers and dental practice consultants to build SmileSuite. We created a dental answering and virtual front office system combining U.S.-based agents, integrated technology, and dental-specific workflows to help practices plug those leaks—without replacing their in-office teams.

Today, SmileSuite supports 500+ dental and specialty practices coast to coast. We help practices capture more opportunities while giving their teams more time to focus on patient care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dental Answering Service, Virtual Front Desk & Remote Receptionist FAQs

SmileSuite is a U.S.-based dental answering service and virtual front desk solution built specifically for dental and specialty practices. We combine remote agents, integrated technology, and dental-specific workflows to help practices plug the front desk leaks that cost them patients and revenue.

What is a dental answering service?

A dental answering service helps a dental or specialty practice handle incoming patient calls when the in-office team cannot answer. SmileSuite goes beyond simply answering the phone or taking a message. Our U.S.-based team can help answer and schedule new patients, provide phone backup and after-hours coverage, follow up with leads and web inquiries, and reconnect with patients who have pending treatment.

What is a dental virtual front desk or virtual receptionist?

A dental virtual front desk or virtual receptionist provides remote support for patient communication and front-office workflows. That may include answering calls, scheduling appointments, responding to new patient inquiries, following up with leads, reconnecting with patients who have unscheduled treatment, and helping with other tasks that are difficult for a busy in-office team to consistently get to.

How is SmileSuite different from a traditional dental answering service?

Traditional dental answering services often focus primarily on answering calls and taking messages. SmileSuite was built to plug the front desk leaks that cost practices patients and revenue. We combine U.S.-based remote agents with integrated technology and practice-specific workflows so calls, leads, and follow-up can be actively handled instead of simply being passed back to the office.

What front desk leaks does SmileSuite help dental practices plug?

SmileSuite focuses on four core areas where dental practices commonly lose patients and revenue: missed new patient opportunities, phone calls that go unanswered when the front desk is busy or the office is closed, inconsistent follow-up with leads and web inquiries, and patients with recommended treatment who have not yet scheduled.

Can SmileSuite answer new patient calls and schedule appointments?

Yes. SmileSuite can work within your practice's established scripts, scheduling rules, availability, and workflows to help move qualified new patients from an initial inquiry to a scheduled appointment. The goal is to capture more new patient opportunities without adding more work to your in-office team.

Can SmileSuite provide phone backup and after-hours answering for a dental office?

Yes. SmileSuite provides dental call answering and phone backup when your front desk is busy, as well as coverage during lunch, evenings, weekends, and other configured times. This helps reduce the number of patient and new patient calls that go to voicemail simply because your team is already helping someone else.

Does SmileSuite follow up with dental leads and web inquiries?

Yes. Lead and web inquiry follow-up is one of SmileSuite's core services. Many prospective patients do not schedule after their first call, form submission, or inquiry. SmileSuite helps provide consistent follow-up so those opportunities are less likely to disappear into an inbox, call list, or unfinished task queue.

Can SmileSuite follow up with patients who have pending or unscheduled treatment?

Yes. SmileSuite can help reconnect with patients who have been recommended treatment but have not yet scheduled. Using your approved workflows and communication preferences, our team can help restart the conversation, answer appropriate scheduling questions, and make it easier for patients to move forward with treatment.

Does SmileSuite replace my dental front desk team?

No. SmileSuite is designed to integrate with and support your existing front desk, not replace it. Your in-office team can stay focused on the patients physically in the practice while our remote team helps handle the calls, inquiries, and follow-up that are difficult to consistently manage during a busy clinical day.

Can orthodontists and dental specialists use SmileSuite?

Yes. SmileSuite supports dental and specialty practices, including orthodontic and other specialty offices. Scripts, new patient protocols, scheduling rules, office hours, follow-up workflows, and communication preferences can be customized around the way each practice operates.

Is SmileSuite a call center, virtual receptionist, or outsourced dental front office?

SmileSuite can provide many of the functions people associate with a dental call center, virtual receptionist, or outsourced front office, but our model is designed specifically around dental front desk workflows. We combine real U.S.-based agents with integrated software and practice-specific processes to function as an extension of your existing team.

Why was SmileSuite created?

SmileSuite began when its founder, a practicing dentist, recognized that missed new patient opportunities, unanswered calls, inconsistent lead follow-up, and unscheduled treatment were costing his own practice patients and thousands of dollars every month. He recruited developers and dental practice consultants to build a system specifically designed to plug those leaks. Today, SmileSuite supports more than 500 dental and specialty practices across the country.
